Dr. Aloysius Ogwu, the husband of Prof. Joy, Nigeria’s Permanent Representative to the UN, is dead.
A statement issued by the Permanent Mission of Nigeria to the UN, New York, on Thursday said Aloysius died on Monday in New York, aged 77.
Aloysius, a surgeon, retired as Chief Consultant Surgeon at the Military Hospital, Ikoyi, Lagos.
He is survived by his wife; Joy, five children, grand-children, sisters and brothers.
Burial arrangements will be announced by the family
