Governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano, has blown up another 608.5 Million Naira in a phantom decoration of Onitsha and other towns in Anambra State in anticipation of the Yuletide season.
Similar decorations were meant to be carried out at Upper Iweka, DMGS road, Amuobia roundabout, Nnewi and Ekwulobia.
Performing the symbolic switching on of the Christmas lights, Governor Obiano declared, “This is the new Las Vegas of Nigeria,” pointing at the Upper Iweka interchange of the Onitsha-Enugu Expressway.
“Tell your brothers and sister in the Diaspora and elsewhere to come home for Christmas. Anambra is safe enough for all of us. This Christmas will be one of the best you have ever had,”.
