Remember Rome was never built in a day hence why you must never be in a rush to make it today or tomorrow in your career.
Before you forget, remember that not all that glitter is gold, so we must cut short our materialistic tendencies and reboot our sub conscious mind to the fact many distraction's will confront us on our way up. Just be focused.
Guess by now you should also must have known that Dreams don't come true unless your ready and determined to do. Yes.! And if you must do, make sure you do the vital, the important, the necessary to get to the top. If you must do, please dear do with the right persons, the right group, the right team, guess you understand? Remember our topic is how to conquer the men and get to the top of our career.
High success career business women leaders across the globe share may of the same characteristics and will love to share them with us, to we can replan to aspire higher in our various field.
As a woman, you must not be a feminist to succeed or slay to make a point or run around like a headless chicken from one bed to the other to succeed. No.! Thuo at some point in time, our male counterparts tries to frustrate us and castigation our efforts with their egocentric male ego trying to prove yes we are second class citizens, but my dear, don't lose your cool, ensure get to the top first and every other thing will fall in place.
Temper, panic and unease can spoil show and cast a horrible psychological torture on your inner motivation to strive higher. Always put your temper and panic in check, in this society women we have just a slim chance provided by our male counterpart to succeed.
85 women at senior vice Presidents level and above at various international organizations were taken on a personality assessment and survey which we tried to explore their success nuggets in their various fields and what makes them flourish in the modern workplace dominated by the male folks. If they could have surmounted all obstacles to get to the Zenith, ask, Why not you? Just be focused.
1. Confidence:
Many of us keep a very horrible confidence gap between our potentials and what is expected of us. Many women underestimate their ability, many women carelessly limit themselves to what they can achieve. Just be focused, there is no limit to what you can achieve career wise. Build your inner confidence boaster and challenge your self, believe within yourself that you can and you will.
2. Energy:
You must show enough energy for any task. Even if you don't seem to get enough, pretend to and work on improvement. Energy will propel you to face the job or task against challenges, without energy, you many not get very far. Energy is like fuel that will propel you to work. Energy is key. Just be focused.
3. Stress Tolerance:
Yes, we are tagged poor stress mangers but mind you, all great women that has made their mark in their various career untagged that stigma. So why not you? If you have not done so do so today, do not walk with that stigma. You hear words like : women can gossip, they can't keep secret, they are too emotionally attached etc. Don't take them to the heart, just build a strong absorber and a solid stress control inside you. When 'they' try to break you and see you have refused to break, they will make way for you to the top. Plan psychologically for any psychological eventuality or possible stress challenges that may come along on your way to the top, be ready when it comes and don't let it break you, manage it well. Just be focused.
4. Innovative acumen:
Always have something very different to bring to the table. You must be ready to flow with the tide but keep an eye on the target and bring to the game a unique innovative idea made by you, championed by you and advocated by you for the application and defend the practically to the core, get men to assist you make it work and catapult your self to the top. Just be focused.
5. Ego strength:
Your a woman, there a fundamental virtues of womanhood, be an ambassador of the women folk. Many women have brought bad names and bastardized our societal image and worth but that's not even to pull us all down. As a woman, your a mother to all. Your female ego must the put into perfect check so as not to fall victim of sentimental trap by the male folk. Ego strength is one of the biggest challenges men face and we should not fall victim too. Carry your self as the woman you dream or desire to be but apply wisdom and caution.
There is no specific set of predictors for a successful career, what basically we just tried to do is to call our attentions to some of the vital characteristics successful role models at top executive positions shared with us.
