Today the World Health Organization commemorates the World Blood Donor Day. Is a day set aside to sensitize and create greater awareness on the importance of Voluntary Blood Donation.

The day is targeted at creating serious and more awareness to Donate freely to safe life especially at Emergency Situations at various hospital around the world.

The World Blood Donor Day was first initiated and established to be created annually on 14th June in the 2004 by : "The World Health Organization, The International Federal of Red Cross and The Red Crescent Societies".

The world blood donor day was officially established by World Health Organization with its 192 member States in May 2005 at the 58th World Health Assembly in order to motivate all the countries worldwide to establish Blood Banks, thank blood donors for their precious step, promote voluntary, safe and unpaid blood donations for sufficient blood supplies on emergency situations around the world.

Let's all join in the campaign and encourage us to donate freely. It is our social responsibility and corporal work of mercy. We are co creators with Christ hence why we must join in the campaign.
