Anambra State Police Command records yet another success under CP Garba Baba Umar... As Governor Obiano honours family of slain officers of the Command.
The Anambra State Police Command today Thursday 3rd July 2017 recorded yet another great strides as the Commissioner of Police CP Garba Baba Umar lead some Senior Officers of the Command and 5 families of officers of the Command who lost their life's in line of duty while on service in the state.
It was a solemn ceremony at the Governors lodge which gave the families of the slain officers an opportunity and hope that they are not forgotten and abandoned.
The Governor of Anambra state, Chief Willie Obiano while speaking at the ceremony consoled the families and assured them that the government has through such empowerment initiatives assists families of officers who have lost their life's while serving the state.
The Governor in his speech noted that is important that we show love and solidarity by reaching out to the families and also promised that the state government will take care of the hospital bills of the officer still hospitalized 100% as we pray for his quick recovery.
The Commissioner of Police CP Garba Baba Umar on behalf of the Command thanked the Governor for his love and magnanimity. The CP pointed out that the Governor has not just demonstrated love but has also sent a strong message to the families that thou your loved ones has left you, those who will remember your loved ones has not left you.
The CP specially thanked the Governor for coming to the aid of the Command in assisting these families and prayed God to bless his good heart.
The CP further assured the Governor of his resolve to uphold the safest status of the state.
Mrs Matthew Julius wife of late Sargent Matthew Julius thanked the Governor on behalf of the widows of the late officers and prayed God to bless, protect and grant the Governor his utmost heart desires as he pilots the affairs of the state.
