#Hurricane_Harvey - OUR HEARTS ARE WITH HOUSTON
Have been devastated emotionally by the news of the natural disaster in Houston, Texas some couple of days back now. The horrifying images from CNN and other international media houses leaves a resounding question in my heart this few days: "WHY ARE WE (Nigeria) LOVED SO MUCH...?"
If your not concerned when others battle the Natural consequences of fate, situations which they barely cannot help but just manège through, then I think you may be in the wrong planet.
For the records; hurricane Harvey is an active tropical cyclone that causes the sea to over flow, not just overflowing but with high violent storm and up to a 50 inches of rain.
This years disaster thou predicted BUT is highly catastrophic as the rain hit an unimaginable new record of 51.88 inches, dropping about 15 trillion gallons of rain which has caused a devastating flooding in Houston, Southeastern Texas, Americans 4th biggest city with a population of about 7.6 million people.
The unprecedented level of flood has caused many serious emotional torture and damage as many families are still trapped at various locations. Rescue operations are seriously ongoing as various authorities have sent out rescue teams for search & rescue and more volunteers are needed to join as many are in need of help but can't be reached or reached-out as the storm destroyed all telecommunications network and even two major airports in Houston flooded.
Is our prayer's that God orders the Harvey to stop so that many families will return back to their homes and the people reclaim the environment. Our hearts are with Houston and all families who may have lost their loved ones to the disaster.
Be strong, positive and hopeful, we are all into this together and we shall get out of it stronger.
