I remember a world renowned boxer, the late DickTiger. The Biafran boxing champion who denounced the name "Nigeria " in far away United States of America. The man that stated that he should be addressed as Dick Tiger of Biafra. The man that will not go into the ring to fight unless the biafran anthem is played. The man that surrendered his British title in retaliation for the way the British government were supplying ammunition to the Northerners to annihilate the Biafrans during the civil war. The man who gave half of his boxing fee to biafrans during the war. The man who trained young biafran soldiers during the civil war. The man that fought the greatest boxers in his category. The man that defeated Hurricane Carter in round 7. Hurricane Carter was later portrayed in a movie by Actor Denzel Washington, "Hurricane".
The late Dick Tiger Ihetu is a true hardcore Biafran. He travelled home whenever he is called upon by his people of Biafra.
