MR. NWOBOR distributes pallaitives in Oranto Village Ukpo in Dunukofia Local Government Area of Anambra State...
Heeding to the call by the ANAMBRA STATE GOVERNMENT to help the most vulnerable in the State cushion the economic effect of the Corona virus pandemic following the total shut down of economic activities in the Nation - MR. IKENNA NWOBOR (Amakammiriama Ogazi na Dunukofia) has extended his benevolence to his people.
Speaking to news men at Oranto-Village Hall Ukpo; MR NWOBOR noted that the pallaitives will go a long way in helping the families in this difficult time and the 150 Families targeted were randomly selected from all quarters in the village.
MR. NWOBOR urged the women to keep faith and observe all the preventive measures and guidelines as stated by Government in the fight against the Corona virus and try to keep their families together to strengthen and foster family bond.
"The Corona virus Pandemic is now a world health emergency as declared by WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION (WHO); the global economy is on standstill now and countries are fighting hard to contain the virus.
In Nigeria Government is doing it's best but the bitter truth is, Government cannot do it all alone. This is the best time to live up the popular saying of 'ONYE AGHANA NWANNE YA'.
In anyway anybody can, we should always help the next person or neighbor. If you have benefited before from any other Government or Individual pallaitives like this and you get this today and there is your neighbor you feel very much better of than, be kindly moved to share some with his or her family.
As we stay safe, let's also remember with God all things are possible and pray that God himself shows the world solutions to this pandemic. I want to thank all the good Sons and Daughters of Ukpo who has done such Palliatives before now and urge those who can to still assist in any way to help our people...MR NWOBOR concluded."
A friend to the Benefactor who also accompanied him to the venue CHIEF EZEONYEBUCHI from Igboukwu in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State made a donation.
Another son of the soil; CHIEF IZUCHUKWU NWABUEZE (Ichie Chinemeze Na Ukpo) in support of the wonderful gesture made a cash donation to the 150 beneficiaries.
The women could not hide their joy and excitement as they danced, sang, praised and prayed for the Benefactor and his entourage for such a wonderful gesture at this particular point in time.
Item distributed includes: bags of rice, cartoons of Indomie, tubers of yam, hand sanitizers, face masks, hand gloves and other condiments.
