Mr Ozigbo gave the reassurance on Thursday, September 16, 2021, when he addressed a seminar of the Onitsha Archdiocesan Catechist Association held at the Blessed Iwene Tansi Major Seminary, Onitsha.

The seminar, convened to enlighten the catechists on their roles in information dissemination within the church, was attended by all the catechists from the 184 parishes within the archdiocese.

While making his remarks, Ozigbo, whose gubernatorial aspiration continues to inspire a new generation of Ndi Anambra, expressed gratitude to the association for inviting him to their esteemed gathering.

"I'm glad and consider it a great privilege being here in your midst today, as it reminds me of my early days as a child under my father who served and retired as a catechist and headmaster," Ozigbo said, recalling with fondness his experience while growing up as the son of a catechist.

"Catechists are the silent backbones of the church. Growing up as the son of a catechist, I learnt the importance of selflessness and sacrifice, and I am honoured to join you for today's activity."

Ozigbo, who is the immediate past President and Group CEO of Transcorp Plc where he was directly responsible for phenomenal transformational stories in the public and private sectors, explained the importance of the forthcoming Anambra guber election and why the right leader must be voted into office.

"Everywhere in Anambra today, debates are going on about who will be the next governor of the state. The coming election is very consequential because a lot depends on its outcome, especially as we need to rebuild the state from its current ruins," the multiple award-winning global CEO said.

"This is an election that will determine our future, not just for the next eight or sixteen years, but for the rest of our lives. God, in His infinite mercy, has given us the opportunity to get things right again and we should be careful not to misuse it.

"I am interested in the holistic development of Anambra state. My governorship ambition is solidly built on the need to reconnect Anambra State to the citizens.

"As a private sector expert, I understand the importance of a workable synergy between the government and individuals for meaningful development in our state.

"We have crafted workable blueprints that will give our state a face-lift, give our citizens bragging rights, and make Anambra the envy of others.

"In me, the PDP has presented a strong candidate, one who is capable of winning this election. All we are asking for is your prayers, support, involvement, and encouragement to actualise this victory," Ozigbo appealed.

In his address, Rev Fr Mark Mgbobukwa, the Director of Catechesis in the Archdiocese, thanked Mr. Valentine Ozigbo for honouring their invitation. Fr Mark, who described catechists as the teachers and leaders of faith in the church, submitted that Ozigbo had shown readiness to lead Anambra State to prosperity and encouraged those gathered to look beyond sentiments and see the need to join hands with his credible candidature for the state's progress.

Mr Obinna Ufudo, the Director of Finance for the Anambra PDP Governorship Campaign Council and Lady Chika Ibeneme, a former Commissioner for Trade and Commerce in Anambra State, were among guests who accompanied Ozigbo to the event.
