ENGR. JOHNBOSCO ONUNKWO UNVEILS PLAN TO REPOSITION THE YOUTHS IN ANAMBRA STATE AS HE CELEBRATES 2017 WORLD YOUTH DAY WITH OVER 11,000 CATHOLIC YOUTHS OF AWKA DIOCESE
This year’s World Youth Day 2017 was chaired by a Young Pragmatic Leader and Gentleman, a Philanthropist per Passion and Dedication - Engr. JonhBosco Onunkwo.
The event which was coloured by litany of special dignitaries including the Wife of the Executive Governor of Anambra State was a huge success as the youths felt at home and more inspired hearing and sharing the success story of Engr. JohnBosco Onunkwo.
The Chairman of the Occasion, Engr. JohnBosco Onunkwo, charged the youths of the state to stand up to their dreams – he stated thus:
"We must be able to face this challenge together and fight for our dreams to make it a reality, let my story inspire you. I never had it all rosy growing up, prayers and perseverance brought me this far. I know the problems, I feel your pains and fears because I was once at that level and I can still remember how difficult it was. One thing I can assure you is; one day we all we get to that promise land but it will take lots of hard work, dedication, sacrifice, service and prayers.
As a youth, your future is right there with you, hold it and guide it jealously, don't let anyone take it away from you.
Today as we celebrate the Diocesan World Youth Day, let it also give us an avenue for a rethink and deep sober reflection on the plans for our future in the next 10,000 years. Life is in phases, if you don't consciously fight and struggle for your right, a new phase will wash off your future and before you realize it, you are frustrated out of your destiny.
As a young man, been around young people and helping them to grow is to me like a special duty assigned to me by Providence. Hence, all my Projects and Schemes have revolved round the youths both in Nigeria and in Diaspora. Don't take anything for granted my fellow youths, never make such mistake because you don't know where, when and how your life changing opportunity will come knocking.
Youths; we are the future of the church and the society, the power is in our hands just that we are yet to understand and fortify our desires to make the change. Never lose sight of your maker, our journey here after life is to make Heaven; that should never leave our minds. Always do well at any slightest opportunity that comes knocking.
Go back to the YOUTH ANTHEM, always recite it. I want to assure us all that come November 18, by God's Grace with your prayers and support, the youths shall take over this state and reposition it for better.
Youths are taking over globally and Anambra will never be an exception. We will fashion out more time with a greater number of all the youths in the state so we sit and draw up a road map, am here for you, I want my story to inspire and challenge you to greatness - God bless you ".
The Youths could not hide their joy and excitement after the wonderful speech as the rose up in great excitement with powerful cheers and standing.
The Chairman, who stayed with the youths till the last event while speaking to the Press, noted that if you cannot feel at home with the youths then there is a serious problem. As a young leader, you cannot lose grip of the young people and except a miracle to succeed is not possible that is why most bad politicians come to buy the youths to fight each other he pointed out.
