ANAMBRA STATE POLICE COMMAND.
The Commissioner of Police Anambra State CP Garba Baba Umar has warned the public to desist from any act capable of causing security breach or tension in the state as the Command under his watch is determined to clamp down on criminal elements in the state including false rumour peddlers.
The CP was also has confirmed the death of a notorious arm robber and cultist in the state, by name - Chukwuezugo Ikeomu popularly called ZION. Zion who investigation revealed was former Youth leader in Obosi has been on Police wanted list since 2012 was killed by a female cult gang leader by name Okagbu Afoma (HAJIA) after a heated argument following a disagreement over a criminal operations.
Preliminary information from members of the public aided teams of our proactive crack-teams officers of the Command in tracking and arresting the suspect Hajia.
The suspect is currently cooling off in police custody and helping the police our investigations and raid of some drug outlets in Obosi and around the state as investigation also revealed the suspect as a serious drug peddler in the state who has also been on the wanted list of Police since 2012.
The CP further warns good people of Anambra especially those still indulging in any criminal activities in the state to desist from such or be ready to face the law as Command under his watch is battle ready to clamp down on any criminal activities in the state.
Normalcy has long returned to the area as the Command has deployed more officers to the area to add to the security presence already on ground indicating the readiness of the Command against any act of criminality in the state.
The CP further assures Ndi Anambra of his readiness to guarantee a safer state and a more proactive policing under his watch. He advises the public to cooperate with the police and avail the police any useful information to assist the police in doing its constitutional duties.
