ANAMBRA STATE POLICE COMMAND
The New Sheriff, CP Garba Baba Umar has categorically stated as false, baseless and mischief the rumour in some social media outfits of an arm important in Nnewi.
The CP stated this at the Command headquarters warning that all those who peddle such senseless rumours will be made to face the full rout of the law.
The Command has set up panel of investigative officers and cracks teams and investigation reveals that nothing of such happened in Nnewi or any part of the state.
Am very surprised why some people will unnecessary want to create security tension in the state by peddling such baseless and wicked rumours in the state. It is very regretful and unfortunate that some people take pleasure in causing fear and tension and aimed at pulling the efforts of the State Police Command and the government of the state to the mud, the CP lamented.
The CP warned that the Command under his watch will not take such issues lightly as the Command will deal decisively with peddlers of such baseless rumours and make them face the consequences of their actions. When you intentionally and purposely plant tension and mischief I assure you, the state Command will go out for you and make you harvest mischief as the Command will not take any security breach in the state lightly.
The CP Garba Baba Umar thanked the good people of Nnewi for their patriotic attitude towards the rumour by calling the attention of the command and urged them to go about their lawful businesses and feel free to report to the Command any news/information/act capable of causing security breach in the locality.
The CP assures Ndi Anambra of his readiness to uphold the safest state status of the state and ask for their cooperation and collaboration with the police by giving useful and adequate information to the police and report any suspicious movement to the Police.
