World Malaria Day is an occasion mapped out by World Health Organization (WHO) to highlight the need for continued investment and sustained political, cultural and social commitment for Malaria prevention and control.
Today Prince Osisioma Foundation (POF) joins (WHO) in shining the spotlight o prevention, a critical strategy for reducing the toll of a disease that continuous kill more than 400,000 people annually.
Across sub-sahara Africa, the disease is heavily concentrated, a great share of the population is sleeping under insecticide-treates nets yet more is still needed. #PreventionIsKey
#Prince_Osisioma Foundation will accelerate the pace of progress in a bid to end Malaria for good.
The foundation also urges government at all levels to book robust investment in Malaria prevention. Also pledges it's support towards smoothing new partnerships and pathway's aimed at eliminating of the disease especially in some remotely affected areas and IDP camps in the sub-Saharan Africa continent in line with the sustainable development Goals such as improving preventive methods and child health care.
