COVID-19: DR. CHINEDU UMEADI FOUNDATION DONATES TO SCHOOLS
In support of government efforts in the fight against the Corona Virus pandemic DR. CHINEDU UMEADI FOUNDATION has kicked off the first phase of COORDINATED COVID -19 preventive support for safe reopening of schools and learning facilities in Anambra Central Senatorial Zone.
Speaking to news men; MR. UCHENNA UMEADI who represented the Foundation Chairman - HIGH CHIEF DR. CHINEDU UMEADI (Agunechemba 1 na Abagana) pointed that the Foundation decided to start the COORDINATED COVID_19 preventive support for safe reopening of schools with Nnamdi Azikiwe Secondary School Abagana because charity they say begins at home and the secondary School is the first school closest to DR. CHINEDU UMEADI.
MR. UCHENNA noted that the Foundation after discrete enquires; investigation and aslo taking cognizance of the passionate appeal by the Federal Government through the Presidential Task Force on COVID_19 to assist schools across the country ensure safe reopening of secondary schools for Exit classes only came up with the following donations:
*. 15 Hand Wash Buckets
*. 15 Big Hand Wash Soaps
*. 15 Big Hand Sanitizers
*. 100 pieces of small hand sanitizers
*.100 pieces of face masks
*. 2 Gasoline Brush Cutter
*. Replacement of the school submersible sumo pump and plumbing of old water taps.
Receiving the items the Principal MR. OBALIM FIDELIS thanked the Foundation for the kind and wonderful gesture and promised the school will make judicious use of the items.
The principal also took the Foundation team round the school premises especially the water borehole site and various water outlets in confirmation of the availability of water.
Chief Sir. Remigius Ikemefuna Onwuadi (PG Abagana Welfare Union) thanked DR. CHINEDU UMEADI FOUNDATION for such a wonderful magnanimity and urged the teachers to ensure the students in examination classes observe strictly all the COVID-19 protocols and inculcate good morals on the students as the situation of the country is really troubling and the younger generation is the only hope for a better Nation.
Sir. Onwuadi also enjoined the teachers to make their wards in the university available to take part in the ongoing essay Competition being organized by the Foundation as the preparation for the essay is targeted at also helping the students prepare them mentally for leadership.
The teachers were seen in their numbers very happy as they prepare for the reopening of schools AUGUST 4TH, 2020 as directed by the Federal Government for Exist classes in preparation for the WEST AFRICAN EXAMINATION (WAEC) starting 17TH AUGUST, 2020.
