Tuesday 20th July, 2021 Dr Chinedu Umeadi foundation rewarded 27 students who came out victorious at the 2nd Edition of DR. CHINEDU UMEADI FOUNDATION SCIENCE QUIZ COMPETITION in Anambra State.
The competition which was organized across the 6 Educational Zones in Anambra State witnessed a brilliant academic exhibition by the students in the following subjects; PHYSICS, MATHEMATICS, CHEMISTRY, BIOLOGY & ENGLISH LANGUAGE from the 206 participating public & mission schools in the state.
DR. CHINEDU UMEADI FOUNDATION is by this annual competition keying into the state governments policy which also is inline with the foundation's Educational Scheme, of bequeathing an education system that is globally competitive for our children and promoting the study of SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY amongst our children.
The Hon. Commissioner for Basic Education in Anambra State - Prof. Kate Azuka Omenugha in her address eulogized DR. CHINEDU UMEADI FOUNDATION for it's support to Education in Anambra State and she advised the students to always strive to be the best with an awakening true life story of her academic journey as a girl child.
The Chairman of the Occasion Prof. Frank Akpuaka extolled the outstanding qualities of DR. UMEADI even as a young medical students and his brilliant academic records which ushered him into zenith of his chosen profession today; also advises the students to marry their books and take seriously any opportunity that comes their way.
The Chairman Post Primary Schools Service Commission (PPSSC) - Mrs. Ifeoma Okaro thanked the founder of the foundation DR. Chinedu Anthony Umeadi and Rev. Sr. Dr. Miriam Onwadi (DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION DCUF) for their determination and magnanimity in partnering with Anambra State Government in Education with the sole aim of this Science Quiz Competition of stimulating students in Anambra/Africa to the study of science and improve their knowledge base in different subjects.
This year's competition finals witnessed the deployment of Computer Based Quiz which was targeted at elevating the standards of ICT in our schools in the state and exposing the students to global competitiveness.
Also this year's competition gave a MOTIVATIONAL AWARDS to schools/Principals & Teachers of the best 6 finalists at the state level with various awards, cash rewards, Educational gadgets support and donations to the schools.
All the 27 students went home with a cash reward, a certificate and an ambassadorial slot from the Foundation.

went home with the star prices and a scholarship to defray their academic pursuit.
Speaking on behalf of the founder Sir Ikem Onwuadi (PRESIDENT DCUF) thanked the Honorable Commissioner for Basic Education Anambra State for lending her unalloyed support and encouragement; noting that this will open more doors for corporativeness between the foundation and her ministery towards doing more for younger generations through Education in our state; as Education is the bed Rock of any any meaningful development in the Society. Thanking all the team members in Nigeria most importantly the founder of the foundation for his love and commitment towards bettering the society and our dear state as he argued the students to be good Ambassadors of the foundation where ever they go.
