Prince Engr. Dr. Arthur Eze (Ozoigbondu) will be chairman of Igbo Day celebration holding in Enugu on September 29, 2023.
According to the leaderhip of Ohanaeze, his nomination as chairman is based on his "outstanding patriotic contributions, philanthropy and deep commitment to the progress of Igbo nation."
This year's event has the theme, "Igbo Kunie". The organisers in a letter to Prince Athur Eze stated that the theme of the event is a clarion call for Ndigbo to arise and fulfill their high destiny in Nigeria and the world. The letter further stated:
"It is a charge for the Igbo to awaken to the principle of Akuluouno; to galvanise themselves towards a common purpose and to rediscover and embrace the core traditional Igbo values of one-in-brotherhood.
"It is also a call for Ndigbo to have a rethink on the security situation in Igbo homeland and unite against the challenge of self immolating sit-at-home order."
Ichie Sir Izuchukwu Nwabueze (Ichie Chinemeze N'Ukpo), the Principal Secretary to the Igwe of Ukpo confirmed the invitation and disclosed that Prince Eze has accepted to chair the event.

Prince Engr Dr Arthur Ikpechukwu Eze OFR who is scheduled as the Special Guest of Honour for the Lecture and Chairman of Igbo Day Celebration on Friday September 29 2023, was represented by Ichie Sir Izuchukwu Nwabueze (Ichie Chinemeze N'Ukpo), the Principal Secretary to the Igwe of Ukpo.
Notable Nigerians at the lecture included President-General Ohaneze, Chief Engr Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu CFR; Governor of Enugu State, represented by Aka Eze Aka Hon Commissioner for Information Enugu State; Iyom Amb Bianca Ojukwu, Iyom Josephine Anenih, Sen. Dr Chris Ngige, Most Rev E.O. Chukwuma, Dame Virgy Etiaba, Chairman South East Traditional Rulers Council- Igwe Amb. Lawrence Agubuzu.
