Egbengwu Community Development - The Chimnyelugo Foundation Model

Promised made and fulfilled by Professor Nnaemeka Ezekwe through his foundation Chimnyelugo Charities and Scholarship Foundation (CCSF) for his community Egbengwu Nimo
The project tagged: "EGBENGWU WATER PROJECT (EWP)" a community based water project targeted towards providing sustainable, clean, portable water in the eleven (11) villages in Egbengwu to curb water crisis and foster profound development in the water infrastructure in the community.
The Egbengwu Water Project is a startling reality that highlights incredible desire by an individual to end water challenges in the community through this eWater innovative pilot project in Egbengwu, the first and best of it's kind.
Yesterday, November 2, 2023 Ndiagu Umudunu and Ebonano village in Egbengwu both had their water project completed and commissioned Chimnyelugo Charities and Scholarship Foundation amidst cheers.
Performing the commissioning ceremony the Parish Priest St. Mary's Parish Egbengwu Fr. Innocent Muomegha thanked the sponsor Prof. Nnaemeka Ezekwe for his developmental strides and love for the community and fulfilment of his promises and calls on various villages to take ownership of the project and protect it jealousy against vandalization or misuse.
Mrs. Elizabeth Okechukwu...who spoke onbehalf of the sponsor thanked the two villages for taking advantage of being amongst the first to benefit and ask other villages to key in immediately.
The chairman Ebonano village Mr. Gregory Awagu thanked the sponsor Prof. Nnaemeka Ezekwe for keeping to his promise to his people. Councilor representing the political ward, Mr. Emelife Benjamin in appreciation thanked the foundation team for their prompt delivery of the water project in record time.
In Ndiagu Umudunu commissioning of the Egbengwu Water Project,Tchr Chika Iloerika enumerated various water challenges facing the people and noted with the new innovative solar powered water system scarcity of water even during dry season will now be a thing of the past as he equally promised the sponsor that the village will take absolute care and control of the project.
The councilor Mr. Emeka Nwankwo assured the foundation that water will always be available to the people.
High point of the events was the commissioning and drinking of water from both sites as villagers who came out for the commissioning were treated with light refreshments as mother's were seen dancing in happiness while thanking God for the humanitarian gesture brought to their door steps.
